A Chattaroy Home's Full Circle Story: From New Build to Full Price Sale

Back in 2023, I helped a couple buy this Chattaroy home brand new. I remember how excited they were walking through it for the first time, picturing what they'd do with it. Over the next couple of years, they did exactly that, adding custom touches and making it unmistakably their own. So when they called me recently to talk about selling, it wasn't a conversation I expected.
## Why They Decided to Sell
Nothing was wrong with the house. That's usually the first thing people assume when a sale happens fast, that something forced the decision. In this case, it was the opposite. The house was exactly what they wanted. But being closer to family in Vancouver, Washington became more important than anything else, and once they were clear on that, the decision came together quickly.
It's a reminder I bring up often with my clients in Chattaroy, Spokane, and across North Idaho. The moves that happen with the most clarity are rarely about the market. They're about what's actually going on in someone's life.
## What Happened Next
The home went under contract at full price in under a week. Inside Media filmed a full interior walkthrough, which captures the finished space these sellers built over the past couple years far better than photos could. Watching that footage, it's easy to see why the offer came in so quickly.
## What This Means If You're Weighing a Move
If you've been waiting for the market to feel perfect before making a decision, this is a good example of why that's not always the right lens. Life circumstances, whether it's family, a job, or something else entirely, often matter more than a rate on a loan estimate. Buyers and sellers who move with confidence tend to be the ones who've gotten clear on their actual reason first.
